Set on the outskirts of Bradford, The Selfish Giant follows two rebellious young lads - Arbor & Swifty - and their involvement with a local scrap dealer. At first their earnings seem to roll in but, as jealousy and resentment begin to drive the boys apart, Arbor will resort to a desperate act of greed, the consequences of which will tear apart the lives of everyone involved.

This bold, gripping film by Clio Barnard, the visionary director of The Arbor, boasts breathtaking cinematography, compelling performances from its two non-professional  leads and immense critical acclaim, hailing it as one of 2014's most important British releases.

"An energetic picture that hollers with anger. But also with hope and redemption"
- Jamie Graham, Total Film
