From acclaimed director Joachim Trier (Reprise), Oslo August 31st is a stunning feature about a day in the life of a recovering addict. Anders is smart, handsome and witty, and he's been given a second chance to reconnect with his past life in the city he loves and with the people he used to hang out with.
It's the end of the summer and the city has an emotional melancholy. Before the night is over, he will have met a new girl, partied hard and evaluated his life. Inspired by the novel Le Feu Follet, Oslo August 31st is imbued with a new wave sensibility in both style and approach, and is a bold look at the complexities of a modern man.
"A staggering work of genius."
